BarGee Farms is built on a picturesque 165 acres of beautiful western Pennsylvania countryside. The state-of-the-art facility features an Olympic-sized indoor lighted arena, two outdoor riding arenas, a grass Grand-Prix derby field, 14 turn out pastures, paddocks and accommodations for 60+ horses and ponies.
 
Additionally, the farm boasts and exceptional stable of well-trained school horses for riders without horses of their own, four exceptionally qualified trainers, and is home to the University of Pittsburgh Equestrian Team. The farm’s superb amenities include trail-access to the nearby Hartwood Acres, providing clients with abundant opportunities for year-round riding.

Students at BarGee Farms will learn proper riding techniques, communication skills, self-confidence, discipline, will meet new friends, and will most importantly have a great time with others who also love horses. The farm is home to four accomplished trainers ready to help you achieve your riding goals no matter what your skill level.
 
Barbara Bancroft, head trainer and owner, says that the trainers of BarGee Farms focus on not only helping riders excel technically, but also guide them in establishing a relationship with horses as well. “There’s a mastery to riding” Bancroft says, “but its also about learning how to get along with, care for, and be responsible for another being- and that’s something very special”.
 
BarGee Farms is a competitive force at local through “AA” rated shows and has produced many accomplished and nationally recognized riders. Head trainer Barbara Bancroft – 1993 Hermes Rookie of the Year and member of numerous Nations Cup teams- is uniquely equipped to train both horses and riders for the upper echelons of competition.
